Sands China Ltd. Macau Open Badminton 2024, Part of The HSBC BWF World Tour Super 300

為慶祝澳門特別行政區成立25周年，澳門羽毛球總會與金沙中國有限公司將於本年9月24日至29日在澳門東亞運動會體育館擕手舉辦「2024 金沙中國澳門羽毛球公開賽 • 滙豐世界羽聯 • 世界巡迴賽 • 超級300賽」。

澳門羽毛球總會自2006年至2019年已在本澳每年舉辦這一年一度的盛大體育活動。今年，這個屬世界羽聯世界積分排名賽站之一的賽事，更首次獲得本地綜合度假村企業「金沙中國有限公司」冠名贊助及聯合主辦，全力支持「旅遊+體育」跨界融合發展，進一步豐富澳門作為世界旅遊休閒中心的內涵，相信賽事將會再次牽起一股羽毛球熱潮。

是次賽事作為巴黎奧運會後首個在澳門舉行的世界級國際羽毛球賽，賽事將進行5個項目：男子單打、女子單打、男子雙打、女子雙打及混合雙打，賽事總獎金為21萬美元(約168萬澳門元)。過往賽事亦曾雲集世界頂尖級球員且吸引約20個國家或地區共約400名球員來澳參加。

In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Macao Special Administrative Region, the Badminton Federation of Macau and Sands China Ltd. will jointly organize the "Sands China Ltd. Macau Open Badminton 2024, Part of The HSBC BWF World Tour Super 300", which will commence on 24th to 29th September 2024 at the Macao East Asian Games Dome, Macau.

Since 2006 to 2019, Badminton Federation of Macau had been organizing this annual focusing international sport branding in Macao every year. This year the tournament, as one of the HSBC BWF World Tour Super 300 tournaments with world ranking points, will be first-ever awarded with the title sponsored by and jointly organized with “Sands China Ltd.”, to demonstrate full support for the cross-sector integration of tourism + sports and further enriching Macao’s positioning as a World Centre of Tourism an Leisure, and believing that the tournament will once again trigger a badminton craze.

As the first world-class international badminton tournament held in Macau after the Paris Olympics Games, the tournament will be held in 5 events: Men's Singles, Women's Singles, Men's Doubles, Women's Doubles and Mixed doubles. The total prize money for the tournament is US$210,000 (about MOP$1.68 million). Around 20 countries/regions with 400 world famous top players had been attracted and come to participate in the past tournaments.
